Ice Fishing
Keweenaw Charters is pleased to offer guided ice fishing trips in the Keweenaw area. Hard water trips are offered during the winter months as long as safe ice conditions exist, which typically spans from mid December to early April.

Your guide will provide all of the equipment, knowledge, and on ice transportation required to ensure you have a safe and productive trip. Heated portable shelters are provided. You'll also learn how to use sonar and GPS to locate and catch more fish.
Hard water trips will be offered throughout the Keweenaw Peninsula, primarily on Keweenaw Bay, Copper Harbor, Portage Canal, and large inland lakes. Most destinations are within an hour’s drive from Houghton, Michigan.
Check out peak seasons for more information on timing!
Species that can be targeted on Lake Superior waters include Lake Trout, Brown Trout, Coho and Chinook Salmon, Steelhead, Splake, Whitefish, Herring, Northern Pike, Perch, and Smelt. In addition to the above, other species such as Walleye, Crappie, and Bluegill can be targeted on inland waters.
